athletics fund grant application

The SchoolPower Athletics Fund was created to support LBHS and Thurston student athletes as they develop, compete, and build life skills through sports.

All LBUSD coaches and booster groups are eligible to apply for athletics fund grants, as long as direct impact on LBHS and Thurston Middle School sports teams can be demonstrated. Proposals may be submitted by team staff, coaches, or booster reps. All grant applications must be approved by the team’s head coach before submitting to SchoolPower. The grant application will remain open throughout the bulk of the school year.

Once submitted, your grant will be reviewed by the SchoolPower Athletics Fund Committee, the Principal, the Athletic Director, and LBHS Booster President. Typically applications are reviewed on a monthly basis and our goal is to respond to grant requests within four weeks.

By applying for a grant, you are agreeing to partner with SchoolPower to promote your grant to the LBUSD community. This may include taking photos and video, providing quotes or testimonials, and sending out communications to parents. SchoolPower’s PR team will work directly with you.
